Vengeance

I'm on the trail of the Vengeful one tonight. Since I'm planning to kill and drain, I need to drink down some of my dwindling supply of Potions with specks of Gold. I hack tonight, then kill, then drain.

We'll see if I'm still standing tomorrow. If I am, I may kill another while the hacks last.

Corrupted

For the past day, I've been draining them, Overture after Overture, near-Death after near-death.

The Stink
The Forteller
The Robots
The Drama Queen

All drained to the code from whence they came.

I slipped in the mud at the first Stink, and failed to Drain it, but a Golden Potion and some quick selling at the marketplace allowed me to drain one of its brethren.

I now have Lycoris, but I am corrupted.

I am Exhausted.

I am Broke.

It's going to be a while before I'm ready to take on any more... hopefully none will seek me out while I recuperate.

I think a festival is coming up tomorrow. I could use a bit of a break.

I can smell them

I have drunk the sacred drink - as much as I can hold - to fortify my arm for the task I must start later.

I have Sparred, fought in the Arena, read the paper, and written the name of another ninja on a note page.

While I must eat, I save it for later. There are enough unknowns that it may be better to scarf down TACOs than have my usual meal.

For now, I wait and I watch. I wait in this stench and filth for the appointed time for the Hunt. I must succeed many times... 8, in fact, to prepare properly for my prey. Then I must hunt my real prey down, and drain them to their core.

For it is no ordinary prey I hunt; I can smell the scent of the first - The Prophet from here, and my Water is Red.

I beat Flipper!

I finally beat Flipper in the Temple of The Four Winds. It took a number of tries, but my second Yakuhai was enough to ek out victory! I should study more before I take on The Raider.

I finally made 中忍! It took many, many tries. They were, indeed Ninzya in disguise. Multiple groups, traps... I have nightmares just thinking about it. And to make things worse, at the end, a bunch of 上忍 were talking about me while I fought Ninzya after Ninzya. I know they were whispering about my weight... Just eat one extra sweet rice cake, and the whole village talks for a week!

In any case, I should get some rest. I'm going on a mapping and sneaking mission tonight. I hope that my drawing skills are up to the task.
